Traumatic Brain Injury: Visual Implications

This course will focus on the visual consequences of stroke and head injuries. A brief review of brain anatomy will facilitate a discussion on neuroplasticity. Basic problems of the visual system such as diplopia and field loss and their treatments will be explored. Use of yoked prisms and their function in the patient’s spatial localization will also be discussed, along with some fun hands-on demonstrations.
